merry christmas and ducks

I want to wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the readers of my blog. I'm blessed with a nice family, a naughty dog and four chickens! Not everyone has the joy of a nice home and enough food.
I was charmed by the idea of JULIE who is donating artwork to a store of OXFAM NOVIB. So I'm passing her message of compassion and giving.

You can buy ducks (or other animals) to support projects for those who are in need. I bought 5 ducks. Oxfam spends the money on projects for farmers, perhaps ducks, perhaps education.
If there is just one person who mentiones Oxfam on his or her blog and donates money it wil be a great success! The message (and donations)will travel around the world! I donated but perhaps there are more creative ideas to make money for Oxfam.

Don't forget to visit Julies site, she makes wonderful art!
Have a wonderful Christmas  and thanks for reading my blog and a special hug for those who left a message!

Christmascollection

I collect cribs, small cribs. Each one is special to me. Given by my family, bought on a holiday, a christmaspresent, bought in a recycleshop. The cribs tell the story (a part) of my life.  Next days I will show some more.

Visiting Rotterdam, exhibition Kees van Dongen

Today my sister and I visited the exhibition of Kees van Dongen (1877-1968) in The Boymans van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam.   I had not seen the warning sign: forbidden to photograph. I was amazed I was the only one who photograhed the beautiful paintings. So I want to share my trofees:

As soon as I was aware that it was forbidden to take pictures (and of the guards who were watching) I kept the camera in my bag. I am a nice girl (woman) and want no trouble. So enjoy the few photos I made. Perhaps they are inspiring! We had a wonderful day.
